Keyworker Homes attracted great praise upon the granting of planning permission for a new mini-town within Newton Abbot.  The development, due to start in April 2012 will be brought forward with a number of other developers and end users.  A dedicated development company has been formed to take the scheme forward.  Briefly, the scheme includes:- Retirement Apartments – 53 Housing Plots – Medical Centre – Convenience Retail – Care Home and Commercial uses on a 9 acre site.
 

Keyworker set to obtain Planning for Marks and Spencers in Nantwich
Cheshire East Councillors have approved plans for an exciting new proposal for a Marks and Spencers “Simply Food” store on the edge of Nantwich Town Centre.  Work on the 15,000 sq ft development is now set to start within 8 weeks.


Keyworker Bring Morrisons to Macclesfield
Keyworker Homes (Macclesfield) is to develop a Morrisons Local Store at Hope Park.  Work on this exciting project is due to start in March.  The small store will be the first new build store undertaken by Morrisons and the 4th one in the current roll out of locals.  Stuart Binks, Planning Director at Keyworker Homes  NW Ltd who manages the project said “this is yet another sustainable use on this high profile site, the employment this store will bring complements the new jobs already created in the Care Home, Creche and Office Block.  We are hopeful reserved matters will be approved shortly so a November start on site can be achieved.

 Macclesfield Hospital Opens to High Praise  The great and the good of Macclesfield and beyond were on hand a few weeks ago to officially open Phase 1 of the Hope Park Development.  David Rutley, MP for Macclesfield spoke of the achievement of all the parties involved.  John Wilbraham, Chief Executive of the NHS Trust, spoke of the achievement, not only in disposing of the site to developer Keyworker Homes, but also the high standard of the resulting scheme.  Eian Bailey, Managing Director, spoke briefly of the huge challenge that the project had been and would continue to be whilst Phase II is developed out.  “Funding and planning issues remain high on the agenda for developers like us” Eian stated.  Eian thanked staff and consultants who had helped deliver this spectacular scheme, a special thanks went to Baldwin Design Architects.

Keyworker Homes will be announcing a number of Joint Ventures with other regional developers in the coming months in an effort to bring forward stalled and derelict sites where traditional funding is not available.
